TJ Brister is a mixologist, restaurant operator, and creative force behind innovative cocktail programs. With a background in high-volume hospitality leadership, TJ is passionate about building memorable drink experiences, developing unique seasonal menus, and mentoring teams behind the bar. His approach blends creativity, precision, and a deep love for the culture of hospitality.
He was born in Greenville, South Carolina, before relocating to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the age of ten. His journey into hospitality began in culinary school, where he studied baking and pastry. While he developed a strong foundation in the kitchen, TJ soon realized his passion extended beyond the back of house.
Drawn to the energy of the dining room and the connection with guests, bartending became the perfect balance of creativity and interaction. Behind the bar, TJ discovered he could craft products with the same artistry he learned in culinary school while engaging directly with guests and creating memorable experiences.
Throughout his career, TJ has worked every position in a restaurant, giving him a deep understanding of how each role contributes to a successful operation. From the kitchen to the bar to leadership positions, his well-rounded experience allows him to approach hospitality with both creativity and operational insight.
